(Guangzhou, January 18, 2004) Since entering autumn and winter, Guangdong has seen quite low precipitation amount, and confronted frequent salt tides in recent days. Thus, how to save water and protect water resources turns out to be the first imperative at present. As an enterprise with high sense of social responsibility and mission, New World China Land has all along showed great concern to the society. For instance, New World China Land has taken initiative to lead seven communities and totally nearly 30,000 clients in Guangzhou to call for protecting and saving water resources and launched a nearly two-month water-saving league, which won great supports from Guangzhou Water-Saving Office. Therefore, New World China Land has become the first developer protecting water resources with concrete actions in Guangzhou Region. 

Since its initiation in November 2004, the water-saving match lasted about two months and obtained great supports from clients as well as high recognition from people of the industry and all walks of life. This water-saving match has nearly come to an end and entered the final review stage, with the awarding ceremony to be held in late January. 

As indicated by reading of water meters of families participating in the water-saving match, the water-saving activity has achieved remarkable results with all participating families witnessing different water-saving effects. According to the statistical analysis, Ms. Fan, a client living in Guangzhou Lingnan New World, saved a total of 8-ton water, the highest water-saving rate among the participating families; Mr. Zeng, a client living in Xintang New World, saved a total of 6-ton water, and the water-saving rate was also very high. Many other participating families could also saved water of about two to three tons. Among business owners participating in the water-saving match, the highest water-saving amount hit 29 tons that month. 

Although the water-saving match in Guangzhou was held among the 30,000 clients in seven large communities by New World China Land, its social significance runs far-reaching and positive, and the water-saving consciousness and environmental protection awareness of protecting water resources have been penetrated to all walks of life, laying a solid foundation for Guangdong Province to build a water-saving society.
