(25 September 2004 -- Hong Kong) In a competition sponsored by the State Council's Development Research Centre and Tsinghua Uiversity's Real Estate Academy, Shanghai Hong Kong New World Tower and Wuhan New World Trade Centre were judged to be "2004 China New Top 10 Landmark Buildings", making the Group the only developer to win two prizes in the competition.

The exterior of the 60 storey building is equipped with a multi-color neon lighting display system which is the only one of its kind operating in mainland China, providing a playful focus to the opposite Xintiandi tourist spot.
Wuhan New World Trade Centre is situated on the city's financial street, where many financial institution and hotels are located. The 55 storey building has a total GFA of 154,000 sq.m. and its podium is currently occupied by New World Department Store, the top shopping facility in the province. Major tenants of the building include the French Consulate, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, General Electric, Nokia, Sony and Honda.
