(8 October 2004 -- Hong Kong) New World China Land sponsor the UNICEF Carathon event today to raise funds for girl's education in China.  A convoy of over 20 cars depart from New World Cenre in Hong Kong and head for Shenzhen New World Yi Shan Garden and then to Huiyang Palm Island Resort.  The event will raise over HK1 million dollars for UNICEF. 

The Carathon event is the latest charity effort for the "Create a New World for Children" corporate alliance between the New World Group and UNICEF.  The 3 days event will include special ceremonies in Shenzhen and Huiyang to create awareness among the general public in both cities.  UNICEF Hong Kong ambassador Ms Karen Mok and Cherie Yeung are both guest of honor for the event.
