"(Beijing, January 30, 2005) The awarding ceremony for national outstanding talents in ten series 2004 was held in the Beijing National Political Consultative Conference Assembly Hall. Dr. Henry Cheng, Chairman and Managing Director of New World China Land was elected number one among the “Top 10 National Outstanding Talents in Real Estate”.

Mr. Ou Weiquan, Director of New World China Land Beijing Region, attended the ceremony that night and accepted the award on behalf of Dr. Henry. In addition, the ceremony was also attended by Ismail Amat, Vice-chairman of NPC Standing Committee, Zhang Siqing, Luo Haocai and Zhou Tienong, Vice-chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee, who presented awards to the talents.
The national outstanding talents in ten series 2004 include “Top 10 Outstanding Talents in Real Estate”, “Top 10 Outstanding Talents in Finance”, “Top 10 Outstanding Talents in Education” and “Top 10 Outstanding Talents in Science and Technology”, etc. All these talents have a common feature: they are all winners with outstanding achievements in making contributions, upholding morals, and holding words, as well as in exploration, innovation, and excellence, etc.

The 4-month activity was co-sponsored by eight units including Top China Semimonthly Press, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Office in China, Peking University, China Youth Newspaper Office, China Reform News Office, China Educational Television, Sohu and Macau TV.

Other 100 Outstanding Talents listed among the 10 series include Qian Weichang, Li Jinhua, Chen Yuan, Rita Fan and Han Sanping, etc.
