(2 April 2008, Beijing)  New World China Land Limited kicked-off the “New Green Living – Environmental Friendly Shopping Bag Charity Sale” today in Courtyard Hotel, Beijing together with New World Department China Limited and UNICEF. 

The pollution caused by discarded plastic shopping bag is a continuous threat to the sustainable development of Mainland China cities.  In order to educate the community and lead the way towards a more green conscious lifestyle, New World China Land initiate a nationwide “Environmental Friendly Shopping Bag Charity Sale” until June 2008.  The campaign is a drive to replace the usage of plastic bag with environmentally degradable shopping bags produced by New World China Land.  In addition, all sale proceeds coming from the sale of the bag will be donated to UNICEF for their “Child Friendly School” project in the northwestern provinces. 

More than a dozen cities in which New World China Land have a presence will participate in the campaign and a specially designed promotion and sales booth will be rotating among various New World Department Stores and New World China Land communities within the same city.
