(Hong Kong, Nov. 30, 2009) In November, “New Life Public Welfare Image Group Exhibition”, which was jointly held by New World China Land Limited (“New World China Land” or “the Group”, HK stock code: 917) and the United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF), was officially launched in many cities including Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai, etc..
Year 2009 is the 30th anniversary of the cooperation between UNICEF and Chinese Government. The “New Life Public Welfare Image Group Exhibition”, which is held by New World China Land all over the country, encourages community residents to voluntarily participate in by purchasing tickets, and formally expects to drive the social public to care about children’s survival and growing environment through openly playing public welfare movies in the communities of New World New Land. Meanwhile, New World China Land can contribute its love to Chinese children’s education. All the funds raised by selling tickets will be donated to “Distance Education” project of UNICEF’s Child-Friendly School to improve the children education of mountainous regions in the Central and West. Currently, the activity has collected nearly RMB 90,000 Yuan and will last until late December.
The public welfare movie, All the Invisible Children, is sponsored by Italian foreign ministry to support UNICEF and World Food Program. It is a collection of seven short videos directed by 8 famous international directors respectively, telling the stories of forgotten children in many unbeknown corners in the world. These children are from different parts of the world, such as Brooklyn, Burkina Faso, Beijing, San Francisco, Belgrade and Naples slums, and they are being faced with many problems such as war, famine, health, education and gender discrimination. New World China Land and the UNICEF call on people in the world to focus on the issue of children and are jointly dedicated to relieving and gradually resolving these inequality issues.
