(April 10, 2012 -- Hong Kong) New World China Land Limited (“NWCL” or the “the Group”; HK Stock Code: 917) has, together with the winning families of the “NWCL Green Community”• Parent-Child Manual Bazaar” activity and the media in Shenyang and Beijing, surveyed the development of the local handicraft industry in Miao Village in Leishan County, Guizhou from April 1 to 4, and supported the fair trade and the life concepts of low carbon and environmental protection with practical actions. 

The participating owners’ families of the fair trade tour have visited the silver making and the embroidery crafts in Miao Village, listening to the sales problems of the products by the craftsmen, and introducing to villagers the information of the daily necessities of urban life, for trying to bring more information of the market economy to the craftsmen in the mountainous area. The children of visiting families have brought sports supplies for the local children in order to enrich their life. The visitors were warmly welcomed by the villagers with rice wine and toasting songs. 

“NWCL Green Community• Parent-Child Manual Bazaar” is a series of community parent-child activities jointly held by NWCL and iFAIR China Fair Trade Center. They organize regular workshops making up of the owners’ families in the communities of NWCL and the surrounding masses, to advocate parents and their children to change waste materials in their families into valuable things; and conduct the public welfare charity sales of “Parent-Child Manual Bazaar”. The fund raised from the sales may be donated to support the development of the fair trade of the handicrafts production in mountainous areas of West China. Now the “Parent-Child Manual Bazaar” has been successfully held in Beijing and Shenyang. Community families have competed by their hand-made works and the winning families have been rewarded with the visittour of fair trade wholly sponsored by NWCL. “Parent-Child Manual Bazaar” will continue to expand to the communities of NWCL in Guangzhou, Wuhan, etc. 

Fair trade is the partnership of the trade activities based on communication, transparency and mutual respect. It aims to pursue more equality of trade and advocate the sustainable development, with a view to providing more equal trade conditions and ensuring the rights and interests of the marginalized labors and producers.
