(17 April 2012 – Hong Kong) New World China Land Limited (“NWCL” or “the Company”, Hong Kong Stock Code: 917) has garnered a number of accolades in the Astrid Awards for five consecutive years since 2007. This year, the Company is honored with a record number of five awards in the 2012 Astrid Awards (details as shown in below table), with two gold awards granted for the first time in the Calendar and Video Campaign categories respectively, recognizing its outstanding performances in corporate communications.

The documentary Discover Happiness is the first life movie jointly initiated by NWCL and Huayi Brothers, and elaborately produced by Director Du Haibin and his studio. It consists of eight happy stories of ordinary families from eight cities of NWCL, with an aim to set up a platform for participating families to perform the happy family life and convey happiness to the society, at the same time showcase the harmonious communities created by NWCL in Mainland China in recent years. The grand premiere of Discover Happiness was held on 17 December 2011in Guangzhou Opera House. The documentary has been uploaded to nationwide video websites to extensively advocate the public to value their own happy life.
Both NWCL Desk Calendar 2012 and FY2011 Annual Report share the same design concept of a string-bound book with quaint and traditional objects, the Chinese Red Lanterns, the Chinese Writing Brush, the Chinese Ink and Wash Painting and the Chinese Wine Vessel printed on the cover, symbolizing the communities for living, business, happiness and leisure that the Company is committed to creating in the past decade. Each page of the desk calendar is printed with photos of NWCL’s landmark projects in first and second tier city of Mainland China, such as Chateau Regalia Beijing and Guangzhou Central Park-view, etc, while the business review section in the FY 2011 Annual Report begins with four Chinese characters “Home”, “Business”, “Happiness”, “Leisure”, with a series of project photos and maps printed at there. We hope to depict the outstanding properties we have developed in various communities and emphasize our devotion in offering “New World‧New Living” to citizens.
With an aim to recognize the outstanding corporate communication expertise, Astrid Awards is organized by the MerComm, Inc. annually to enhance professionalism in the industry. The judging panel consists of 50 designers and art directors from all over the world, thus the award is highly recognized by the industry.
