(November 28, 2012, Beijing) The Wuhan Guanggu • New World Center Project of the New World China Land (“NWCL” or “the Group”; HK Stock Code: 917) won the “Elite Science & Technology Residential Area Award” issued by the Elite Foundation for Housing Technology, which is the most authoritative, professional and demonstrative award in the Chinese human habitat and city construction field having been obtained by projects of the Group for the first time. 

The Review Group believed that the Wuhan Guanggu • New World Center Project adhered to the “sustainable development concept”, and the goal of “providing green and top grade life for residents in Wuhan Guanggu”, and brought the green building from concept to reality. The whole project adopted advanced green ecological concept and suitable technical measures, and realized the integrity and continuity of the green ecological system from the overall plan and individual building design. 

Guanggu • New World Center holds the building concept of “Technology • Nature”, changes the traditional housing concepts and life styles and creates the most comfortable dwelling environment. In the aspect of commercial land, the international cutting-edge “American LEED Gold Award” certification requirements is to be adopted to construct the first green building commercial area consistent with the international standard in Wuhan. In the aspect of residential land, a landscape garden with waterscape as theme and area of about 33,000m2 will be built. Meanwhile, the certification requirements of “National Green Building Evaluation Two-star Standard” will be adopted to realize the greening rate goal of 35%. The community system will adopt the heating system, super large waterscape, outer wall internal thermal insulation system, external window system, shading system, roof greening system, noise and sound insulation system, discharging noise processing system and garbage centralized processing system and other energy saving systems, so as to build a green community ecological environment. 

The Elite Science And Technology Award was approved and established by the National Office for Science & Technology Awards of PRC in 2003, and is the first State-level sci-tech award for the residential industry. The Elite Foundation for Housing Technology serves as the award presenter. So far, the Elite Science And Technology Award has been held for 8 sessions successfully, and totaling 2,239 projects have participated in the competition, and 68 platinum awards and gold awards as well as 634 honorable mention awards have been granted, and the accumulated bonus of RMB 1.52 million Yuan have been distributed, and it has become the most authoritative, professional and demonstrative award in Chinese human habitat and city construction field.
